The Portas de Ródão, which serves as a habitat for the largest colony of griffins in the country, is a privileged place for the investigation of fauna and avifauna, where 116 species of birds can be observed, many of them considered to be endangered and some rare, among which stand out the black stork, king kite, black vulture, common eagle, snipe, eagle owl, mountain smithy and flycatcher
